MEMBERS

DIVA members range from individuals who regularly enjoy arts activity, groups who benefit from being part of a strong voluntary arts network, to larger organisations who wish to show their support for DIVA.

As a member of DIVA you will:

  • automatically receive information about our work, new projects and initiatives
  • receive invitations to take part in and attend DIVA member events with special membership reductions of up to 50% from workshop fees etc!
  • receive discount on venue hire for meetings or workshops
  • be part of a network of people who are all involved in the arts with skills & experience to share
  • be eligible for support and advice in setting up your arts group with access to sample constitutions and policies
  • have access to a bank of physical equipment and information
  • be eligible to vote at our AGMs and stand for election to the board - have a say in the way voluntary arts is funded in the district
  • increase our ability to lobby for support for the arts in Wakefield. The more members we have the more visible voluntary arts work becomes. A healthy membership helps DIVA attract more resources for arts projects in the District

Why DIVA?

DIVA aims to increase the quantity, quality and access to locally generated arts activity.

Do you sing, paint, write, play in a band, dance, take part in drama or help run some kind of arts group? Are the arts an important part of your everyday life?

Would you like to be part of a District wide network of people who feel the same way?
DIVA only exists because of it's members. Each DIVA member group consists of tens, in some cases hundreds, of members and many of our individual members represent other arts and community groups.

DIVA is a big network and together we can make a difference!

You can join DIVA as an individual or as a group. To find out more telephone Marissa Wakefield on 01924 383773 or email her at diva@pop3.poptel.org.uk
