Getting creative and feeling good
NEW DIGITAL ART SESSIONS on Tuesday Afternoons at Textile Hall, Batley

How about creating your own Cartoon?
Turn a pan scrubber, old woolly sock and bits of scrap material into a unique puppet character. Scan or photograph it and use digital software to produce a comic strip, children's book or even animation. No experience needed we will show you how!
Pix Mix workshops began in Batley in February 2009.

The Discover project originally covered both Wakefield and Kirklees but has now been separated to ensure that individuals get the chance to experience the Art Form of their choice.
Below are some of the activities that have been already offered to participants.


Print It
workshops where DIVA working with Pathways and West Yorkshire Print Workshop offered an introduction to printing providing an opportunity to learn how to create individual artwork and contribute to a group with artist Annie Beach.
The workshops were held at West Yorkshire Print Workshop, Mirfield
and the finished work was included in an exhibition in June 2008.


Act It
workshops began in February allowing participants to b
uild confidence, express ideas, and surprise themselves!
Drama workshops with theatre facilitator Jenny Penton at The Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield.

 

 

 

 


Sculpture

Sculpture classes ran at St. Thomas's Church Hall, Huddersfield to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to create original art work.
