  The Big Lottery Fund enabled DIVA to run an exciting Creative IT Project.
 
2004 -2006 DIVA's Create+Connect project saw a series of FREE workshops which included:-

Creative Marketing for Voluntary Groups where members of voluntary groups learnt how to raise their profile through marketing, PR and making the most of the internet.

Creative Writing Online where Face to Face workshops inspired individualsto go on to an online writing workshop via website, email & chat rooms.

Making Artwork with Photoshop
A popular pair of workshops to show the
use of creative computer software, scanners & digital cameras to create an original artwork.


Creating a Website with Dreamweaver
An introductory course to inspire groups to design and build their own website

Getting creative with Powerpoint
Combining still images, sound and text to make a short movie or presentation with a twist.


One of the groups involved in the Create+Connect project were Second Chance, a group of people who have suffered head injuries, based at Pinderfields Hospital.

Getting creative with ICT
Computers and ICT are great for workaday stuff – writing reports, sending emails, organising data, managing your finances - but have you ever wanted to try something more creative?

Also included in Create N Connect's exciting Autumn Programme were Marketing workshops, an opportunity to get creative with Powerpoint and Photoshop Training Sessions.

DIVA is the development agency for voluntary arts in the Wakefield District, and helps to create more opportunities for new and existing groups to get involved in the arts.
