Description:Founded in 1991 the Wakefield Music Collective exists to support and promote music in the Wakefield area. It does this through events, workshops and one-off projects. The largest event staged by the Music Collective is the annual two day free festival staged in Clarence Park, Wakefield, which attracts over 5000 people.

Wakefield Recorded Music Society

Description: A well established choir (S.A.T.B.), based in Wakefield but drawing members from a wide area of Yorkshire. We perform four or more concerts per year (November, Christmas, March/April and June) mostly in Wakefield Cathedral but also in Dewsbury Town Hall. Amateur choir performing to professional standards.
